100 Champs Elysées in Paris is not only one of the most prestigious assets in the portfolio managed by Generali Real Estate, but also a successful example of circulareconomy in a restructuring project, labeled by CIRCOLAB as ‘Opération Pilote’
100 Champs Elysées is a CircoLab ‘Opération Pilote’!
By recycling and reusing construction materials during the restructuring project, we saved:
The building is also certified HQE BD v2 High Performance level, BREEAM Very Good, OSMOZ Ready
CircoLab Label: added value for reuse operations
Generali Real Estate actively participated in the finalization of the CircoLab Label with the restructuring of 100 Champs Elysées in Paris as ’Opération Pilote’. This enabled us to identify possible issues in the implementation of the approach, in order to optimize and anticipate our future projects. The label approach is now applied to all our new development and restructuring projects in France.
The CircoLab Label helps set a target and goals to be achieved in terms of reuse of construction material, both for the design teams and the project owners, encouraging them to think out of box.

How the Circolab Label responds to the Generali Group’s ambitions
The Generali Group is a member of the Net Zero Asset Owners Alliance (NZAOA), promoted by the United Nations and bringing together insurers and pension funds committed to decarbonizing their portfolio in order to achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2050.
In this framework, the circular economy and the reuse of materials are among Generali Real Estate’s priorities, and are de facto integrated into renovation and construction projects from the design phase. This approach implies changes in business practices, to address the challenges of producing new things with ‘second-hand’ materials, and confirms Generali Real Estate's commitment to circularity.
CIRCOLAB
Founded in 2017, the CircoLab association aims to develop circular economy in the field of real estate and construction and more particularly the reuse of building products.
It brings together a community of real estate players (building owners, architects, engineers, technical controllers, lawyers, contractors, manufacturers, etc.) engaged in the development of circular economy, and in particular in the reuse of building materials, repair, renovation and recycling.
Generali Real Estate is a founding member of CircoLab.
