CityLife in time-lapse: 14 years of filming condensed in 1:50 minutes witnessed, day after day, the construction of one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in Europe, which transformed this area of Milan into one of the most iconic districts of the city. Architecture, sustainability and a new idea of quality of life in the urban center are the guiding concepts of the CityLife project. The office towers, the residences, the shopping district and the Generali Square Garden are immersed in the second largest green space in Milan, the largest pedestrian area in the city, and a place for events, families, sports lovers and fans of contemporary art.
The video includes 8 different shooting points, through which the photographer Alberto Fanelli captured every stage of the CityLife project as it was growing up, with cameras positioned thanks to visual design, 3D software and a thorough analysis of the architectural models.
Did you know that this is the longest time-lapse capturing the construction of an urban neighborhood and the modifications of the urban landscape ever produced in Italy?
Enjoy!
