Optimizing energy consumption of our buildings is more than a commitment: it’s a reality with sound results and tangible savings. Here an example from Milan.
The ingredients:
- three office buildings in Milan, extending over a total 80,000 sqm, very diverse and in different areas: MAC9 (Maciachini Business Park), Turati 16, U15 Assago
- high-profile tenants, requiring perfect internal comfort conditions all year round, at the right cost and reducing environmental impact
- committed property managers and technical consultants experienced in energy management
The recipe:
- mix a predictive software platform and AI algorithms to measure and map out the buildings’ energy consumption
- add dedicated consultancy by energy experts to design and optimize energy needs, supported by a robust data infrastructure
- stir with collaboration among all the roles involved in building management: landlord, tenants and system managers
The outcome:
- more than 20% reduction in energy consumption compared to last year
- significant saving in energy costs and CO2 emissions, with unchanged comfort level, for the buildings’ occupiers
