The Procuratie Vecchie in Venice are once again a protagonist of hashtag#art and hashtag#culture in Venice, with the exhibition “Robert Indiana: The Sweet Mistery”, collateral event of the 60th International Art Exhibition - Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia, on view on the second floor from April 20 to November 24.
Presented by Yorkshire Sculpture Park and curated by Matthew Lyons in collaboration with Robert Indiana Legacy Initiative, the exhibition - the most significant presentation to date in Italy of Indiana’s work - features more than 40 paintings and sculptures, which highlight the artist’s exploration of the central themes of spirituality, identity and the human condition that are key to understanding his creative evolution.
Restored by Pritzker-prize winning architect David Chipperfield in an ambitious project orchestrated by Generali Real Estate, the Procuratie Vecchie are a monumental space and a showcase of modern technologies and hashtag#sustainability in a unique combination, open to the public.
The third floor of the Procuratie Vecchie is dedicated to The Human Safety Net, a movement of people helping people initiated by Generali to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable circumstances. The Home of The Human Safety Net in Venice is a hub open to the international community on the themes of social inclusion and social innovation. Its interactive exhibition “A World of Potential”, a playful experience to connect with our character strengths and be able to see the best qualities in the people around us, is now enriched by the recently inaugurated installation “About Us. Tracey Snelling for The Human Safety Net”, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero.
